It was back to racing again after a week off with just the classics in action this week as they try and figure out what is going to happen with the Late Models. Jake and Jason looked forward to another strong run this weekend. Jake started 3rd but moved up to the pole when the leader spun going into turn one on the first lap. Jason would start last in 6th place as the car count was a little low this week. The first lap was full of confusion when the 9 car polesitter of Derrick Ray spun and then opted to restart in the back. This put Jake to the pole but coming around to take the green flag the 55 stopped on the backstretch to talk to an official about the starting order. Jason did not know he was going to stop and rear ended him in the confusion and was then hit in the rear as the chain reaction went on. When the green flag flew again Jake jumped out to an early lead while Jason battled for 2nd on the high side of the track. Jason drove hard and made it into 2nd on the 3rd lap he quickly caught Jake and pulled out for the pass. They made contact going into turn 1 ad Jake held on to stay in 2nd. Jason ran the rest of the race with about a 4 car length lead on Jake and the laps wound away. Jason picked up his 6th win of the year and Jake finished another strong 2nd in the classics.
