Finish: 5thFinish: 1stAfter a fun filled week of race car shopping Jake and Jason were back in action in the classics. Unfortunately the Late model race was cancelled due to an expected low car count. Jake was ready for another week since he changed engines this week due to some overheating problems. Jake would have to wait until August 6th unfortunately to race the late model. There was still plenty of Late Model excitement this week as Jake looked toward the future with a new Late Model Stock Car to run at some tracks next year as our 2006 schedule shapes up.This week though was all about fun as the classics was the only thing we were going to race. For the first time this year they qualified the classics. Jason sat on the pole with a 19.63 and Jake sat 3rd with a 20.15 in the #14. The management chose to invert which was ok with us because this is all for fun. Jake would come off 2nd and Jason 4th. The green flag flew and Jake jumped out to a quick lead with a power move passed the leader on the outside. Jason followed Jake on through on the outside to claim 2nd on the first lap. Jake and Jason pulled out to a 6 car length lead and were not being caught.
