Well here we are on a Monday racing in the Ona Raceway Labor Day Spectacular. Noone was really sure how racing on a Monday would be. Unfortunately the car count was not flattering for our classes but we are all happy to spend another day racing.
Jake began raceday thinking about his car would be with a new gear in it. Practice commenced and Jake quickly relized was not helping on his behalf as he was a half a second lower than regular. He came back in a discussed on whether to run or not since the car was bad and there was no pay. He made some changes and went out for the second practice where he was still the fastest. Jake drew the pole but they inverted before the green flag flew putting Jake in 4th. Fireworks started early as the leaders got together and Jake was collected and bent a tie rod throwing the chassis off even more than before. Jake continued racing though despite the problems. Jake ran in 3rd and watched the two lead cars race a little too hard resulting in some spinning going on. During the caution Jake noticed his water temperature had shot up dangerously high. Jake decided to pull off the track due to the temperature and save the engine for another race.
