Ona Raceway continued its streak of good weather and racing every weekend Saturday night and Jake continued his streak of 2nd place finishes capturing yet another one.Jake was much faster from previous weeks though as he ran in practice. In the 4th position is where Jake would start and he made a 3 wide pass on lap 1 to take the lead. Jake ran away from the pack until Gary Chapman moved into 2nd position. On lap 10 Jake lost the lead and finished there with nearly half of a lap on the 3rd place runner. Just another day at the track for Jake Keaton.
Dustin on the other hand had a wild and crazy night spinning in practice and getting pounded by the #97 Marty Powers. There was no way to fully repair the car in time for the feature event but Dustin would still participate. With no practice to get used to his new ride Dustin ran with the leaders until he bounced off the wall and spun a lap later. His reasons for spinning were odd. He said the mirror fell off the car and was somehow stuck between he and the steering wheel preventing Dustin from correcting it. For the restarts Dustin would fly and be the car to beat but after the tires warmed up he would slow down he wound up finishing 3rd at the end of the nightand hung onto 2nd in points.
