Jake Keaton travelled to Portsmouth Saturday night. In a 100+ car race night Jake found himself getting used to the new track and dialing his car in. Jake raced his way to the lead in his heat race and looked to be a top contender for the evening. Midway through the race Jake spun out which in turn sent him to the tail of the field. When racing resumed he showed promise moving up to 4th position quickly. Unfortunately the 3rd place car spun and clipped Jake sending him into the wall and was then followed by a hard hit from another unfortunate race car. The rear end came out of from underneath the car and Jakes night was over.
At a test session today in Newport, TN Jake Keaton was chosen, from a field of over 70 drivers, to drive a Super Cup stock car for Start to Finish LLC. Details are still coming in on the location and date of the race or races that Jake will be competing in. Click here for the Super Cup website.
Jake Keaton returned to Rocky Top Raceway in top form after a bad crash the week earlier at Portsmouth. Jake finished 3rd in his heat race but brake problems stopped him from having a winning car. He started 12th in the feature and when the green flag dropped a caution came out for a spin. A car toward the back did not notice the yellow being out and continued racing. He rear ended Jake shoving the fuel cell up and ending Jakes night. The car was not repairable to make it to Portsmouth on Saturday night.

Jake Keaton wins heat race and finishes 4th at Rocky Top Raceway!
Everthing finally came together for Jake last night at Rocky Top Raceway. He was excited to get back to the track as he has been running well the past few races but due to bad luck had no good finishes to show for it. Bad luck stayed away last night as Jake charged to the lead in his heat race and captured his first victory. Jake grabbed a good starting position for the feature and stayed up front ending the night in 4th position out of the 19 car field. More info to follow.
On another note Jake will not be racing at Portsmouth tonight.
Jake Keaton wins heat race but has flat tire at Rocky Top Raceway.
Jake was back at Rocky Top raceway Friday for another shot at the feature race. He won his respective heat race and started toward the front but a flat tire early in the race would end his chances at his first dirt feature victory.
The following night at Portsmouth Raceway Jakes bad luck continued as something broke in the steering ending his night early.
